Travee Secures 2nd Place at the TIC & VIR Travel Start-up Night 2024 in Berlin

The Berlin-based travel tech startup Travee has secured 2nd place at the TIC & VIR Travel Start-up Night 2024 in Berlin. The event on July 25, 2024 was the second of three Travel Start-up Nights of the year and was hosted by AERTiCKET.

The Travel Start-up Nights are a joint initiative of the Travel Industry Club (TIC) and the Verband Internet Reisevertrieb e. V. (VIR). In this format, young travel start-ups pitch to a professional audience of established players from the tourism industry. Travee competed alongside four other start-ups and presented its concept: a travel app that accompanies travelers before and during their journey in smart, personalized, and engaging ways.

Pitching for Travee was Co-Founder Lam Tuyen Mildenstrey. Securing 2nd place at our very first pitch gave us significant tailwind.

At least as valuable as the placement were the impulses from the audience for us — above all the jury's suggestion to explore B2B applications for the product. This was a direction we had not previously considered.

"It was our first public pitch — the placement reinforced our confidence in the vision, and the jury's pointer toward B2B was a real turning point for us," says Lam Tuyen Mildenstrey, Co-Founder of Travee.
